A view

Driving back from Cheyenne with the kids yesterday and we came over that ridge on Hwy 85 where the state border is and you drop down (if you're driving south, as we were) into the rough-and-tumble portions of northern Colorado high prairie and I could see Pike's Peak on the southern horizon, which from where we were rolling at the moment is easily 160 miles away as the crow flies. I love those long distance views of the American west. Gorgeous. Purple mountain majesty indeed.
