Back in the sun

Well, the cold is gone, and the snow melted, and today it was 72 degrees and sunny here and the very tops of the tulips and daffodils and crocus (croci?) are starting to push up out of the soil and in an hour or so Connor will be playing with the Patriot League honor band. His other band, his pop-rock band, played concerts on Friday and Saturday night, too. So it's been a musical weekend...

Chill out

There's no adventures when it's this cold: -11 below 0 degrees F right now; the high today was 1 degree. And with the 4 inches of snow on the ground and the wind blowing at 20 mph for a wind chill of -25, it's just plain unpleasant. It's like winter finally arrived. Yeah, it was 60 on Wednesday.

All City Band

So tonight we're going downtown after dinner to hear Connor play as part of the All City Honor Band, which features the best musicians from Greeley's six high schools playing in concert together. Connor and his friend Garrett, a fellow percussionist, are the only two from his school, so we parents are very proud. It's an adventure in music!
